How to shave your head step by step

Straight tips for men. Then you shave your head.

For us men who shave their heads or who are thinking about doing it.

In this text you will find everything you need to know about shaving your head. Is it the case that the hair follicles are starting to fail you and that you may even have spent 1000s of kroner on products that would bring your hair back. Nothing has worked as promised. You may have now come to terms with the fact that it is time to shave off the remaining hair. That's right, welcome to the club. Or maybe you just want a new haircut.

Once you have taken the step to shave your head, you will notice how liberating it is.

Step 1, Preparation when you are going to shave your head.

If it is the first time you are going to shave your head, you probably have a little more hair. If you have longer hair than 1 cm, we recommend that you trim your hair to a few mm the first time with a hair trimmer. If you use the razor directly on your long hair, it will be tough and take an incredibly long time. If you only have a few mm, you can start with the razor straight away.

If it is the first time you are going to shave your head, it can feel very uncomfortable the first few times. Take your time and take it easy. After a few times you will find a routine that suits you. No stress. Shaving should be a wonderful experience. If you stress when shaving, it is easy to cut yourself or miss parts that you should have shaved.

In order for the hairs to be cut easily, you need to soften them first. You can easily do this in the shower. A little hot water (you shouldn't burn yourself of course) softens the stubble, so feel free to combine shaving with the morning shower or the evening shower.

If that doesn't work, you can simply rinse your head a few times with warm water in the sink. Once the hair and skin have softened, you can proceed with the next step. If you want to continue shaving in the shower, it's fine if you're safe with it. If you want to shave your head in the shower, it can be good to have good lighting and a mirror close at hand. So that you can see where you are shaving.

Step 2, Before shaving.

When the skin and hair are moist, it is time to use some form of shaving cream. Our shaving cream is 100% vegan and made in Sweden. Contains no harmful substances. Feel free to use a shaving brush to thoroughly lather up the shaving cream. Our synthetic shaving brush is also 100% vegan with a walnut handle. Once you've tried our shaving brush and shaving cream, you won't want to use anything else.

Then apply the cream directly to the head. Make sure the entire head is covered properly with straight cream. You need to use very little of our straight cream every time you shave.

Step 3. Shaving.

Now to the shaving itself. The most important thing when it comes to shaving itself is to have fresh and sharp razor blades. The biggest mistake many people make is that they have razor blades that are too old and dull. Change more often. Don't you have good razor blades at home? Skip shaving and order new blades immediately.

  • The skin on the head is usually quite tight. If compared to the face. If necessary, feel free to tighten the skin with one hand to get the razor as close to the skin as possible.
  • Grab the razor and start at the top of the head and move the razor across the skin in the same direction as the hair grows.
  • Don't press the planer too hard, it's the sharp blades that will do the work.
  • Rinse the razor in warm water between each stroke to remove hair, skin and foam residue.
  • When you are done with the top of your head.(Mostly the part where we men lose hair) go ahead and shave the sides. Shave the sides in the same way. Move the razor over the skin in the same direction as the hair grows.
  • The skin just above the ears can be a difficult plastic to access. Therefore, fold down the ear with one hand to access.
  • If you want a closer shave, you can apply a little more straight cream and run one more time. You can also run the razor against the hair. This may feel a little uncomfortable at first. Not recommended if you have sensitive skin.
  • Check through carefully and feel with your hand so you haven't missed a spot. It can be easy to miss, reapply with new shaving cream and shave again if this is the case.
  • One tip is to have an extra mirror when you shave your head. To see the back of the head. That is usually where you miss.

Step 4. After shaving

When you have finished shaving, rinse your head with cool water. This causes you to close the pores.

  • Dry lightly with a towel.
  • Then apply with an aftershave and moisturizing cream. This softens the skin and prevents dehydration.

The same also applies to the face. The skin on the head is exposed every day to the sun, wind, your hands, other people's hands, dirt in the air...yes, you probably understand what we mean. A moisturizing cream does the trick for the skin both on the face and on the head.

Don't forget to rinse and clean your razor and blade after shaving.

High Five!

So now you know everything. Now it's just a matter of redoing this next time as well.

Go shave yourself.
